Two common threads are multimonitor and HIDPI/custom window scaling bugs. I tried a demo of Groupy around 8 months ago and it crashed Explorer a few times and worked inconsistently. Deskscapes didn't hit performance as much as I thought it would, but it also got boring and distracting pretty quickly. I held on to Fences the longest because I really liked the functionality, but updates were painfully slow and it had such basic bugs that I spent more time messing with it than it saved me. Both required hours of troubleshooting, and I have decades of computer fixin' experience.
